The art of captivation through captions!

The ever changing online media community is a fascinating factor. There is always the question of ‘what next’, that a lot of people ponder over. With the enormous growth of the digital space, constant innovation is what keeps consumers’ interest at an all time high. Instagram is one such medium that is now on the top of the social media chain.

Be it marketing a product, or posting pictures of you, or showing off your photography skills, Instagram is one platform that can project the thoughts of your mind to a vast audience. Though the reach for your content can be major, the people fighting for the same reach are large in number.

Adding captions to your posts can give them the extra boost needed for that major reach. Since, everything relies on how the text reads as; we would say that captions are pretty important! Are you constantly worried about coming up with interesting captions for your Insta posts? Then, keep reading! We’ve come up with a solution and compiled them for you!

1.Grab the attention!

Though Instagram allows 2,200 characters for captions, only three to four lines of text will be visible out of those with the rest of the text cut off under the ‘more’. This gives you the opportunity to grab people’s attention in the first few lines but also manage to keep the mystery in the rest of the hidden text! Your readers would click ‘more’ if they need more information.

2.Call-to-action!

The best way to increase engagement is by including some sort of call-to-action in the captions. For example, you can say something along the lines of ‘tag a friend if you relate to this’, or ‘double-tap if you find this funny’. Asking questions in the captions can also result in engagement for your posts. It can either be one word answers or asking people to share their experiences. Either way, people love to share their stories on Social Media!

3.The #Hashtag game

We love using a good hashtag every now and then in our posts. The significance of a hashtag is that of a pair of binoculars. Anyone who searches for that particular hashtag may find your Instagram post, given that your Instagram account is public. Including hashtags in your posts can help create connections with people with similar interests. It is a great way to bring traffic to your page! But, like anything else in the world, hashtags are supposed to be used sparingly. Limit your posts to three or four hashtags, with them either being included in the middle of the posts or at the end of your caption.
